Apple Creek Herb Farm
is Located on 20 acres, 5 miles south west of Waverly, Illinois. We
are located in a quiet little corner of rural Morgan County among many
oak trees and fields of corn and soy beans.
Apple Creek Herb Farm is operated in an environmentally
friendly and chemical free manner. I grow herbs, wildflowers, red and
black raspberries and I have a vegetable garden every year.
We use only natural and organic methods to control pest. Our farm
keeps me very busy but I enjoy the fresh air and getting my hands
dirty. We raise our own honey bees on the farm to pollinate plants and
produce honey, which we sell on the premises. Visitors to our farm can
interact with our ponies, pygmy goats, dogs and cats. The animals like
the attention and occasional treats. We also have geese, chickens and
guinea running loose here on our farm. The guinea and chickens cut
down on the insect population. Apple Creek Herb Farm is a great place to learn about real
small farm living and we always enjoy showing visitors around. We are
a real working farm, so if you come out to visit you may find me
pulling weeds, feeding the animals or mowing the yard. Be sure and
wear your old clothes when you come to visit as you might get dirty. Apple Creek Herb Farm has many products available for sale.
These include herbs, wildflowers, soap, honey, free range eggs, herbal crafts and books
about herbs and gardening. |
